Ericht opened in April 2022. A lot of our guests tell us it’s their favourite. She sits next to Isla on the smallholding, but you’d never know it. A bund with fencing on top sits between them, and the hot tubs are set right at opposite ends of each cabin, so your space is completely your own. We’re growing shrubbery, wild poppies and a clematis across the bunds and fencing too, which is good for privacy, good for the bees and good for the wildlife that makes this place what it is.

Inside it’s slightly different again, warm and comfortable, nothing overdone. Our beds are properly famous around here, and Ericht has a super king. The glass doors at the front look right out over the fields. That view alone is the best argument for staying another night.

The Hungarian Racka sheep are generally right there. The clouds do their thing. There’s a reason people come here and do very little, on purpose.

The outdoor hot tub is at the far end of the cabin for complete seclusion. The fire pit is stocked and waiting. The robes and slippers will be waiting on you, and the Smart TV is set up to watch from the sofa or from bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with a coffee machine and everything you need to cook a proper meal. The ensuite shower and heated towel rail are ready when you are. Blairgowrie is a short drive away if dinner out sounds like a better plan, and there are plenty of local eateries we can recommend.
