Ericht opened in April 2022 and has quietly become a favourite in its own right. She sits next to Isla on the smallholding, but you would never know it: a bund with fencing on top sits between them, and the hot tubs are positioned at the furthest ends of each cabin.  Your space is completely your own. I’m growing shrubbery, wild poppies, and a clematis across the bunds and fencing too: good for privacy, good for the bees, and good for the wildlife that makes this place what it is.

The interior is its own thing: a slightly different layout and interior feeling that is warm and considered without trying too hard. The super king bed gets mentioned in reviews with some regularity; so does how well people sleep. The glass doors at the front frame a view of the fields that is, honestly, the best argument for staying another night.

The Hungarian Racka sheep are generally right there. The clouds do their thing. There is a reason people come here and do very little on purpose.

The outdoor hot tub is at the far end of the cabin for complete seclusion. The fire pit is stocked and waiting. The robes and slippers are out, and the Smart TV is set up to watch from the sofa or from bed. The fully equipped kitchen has a coffee machine and everything you need to cook a proper meal. The ensuite shower and heated towel rail are ready when you are. Blairgowrie is a short drive if dinner out sounds like a better plan.
